My Preschooler’s Favorite Building STEM Toy

Share with your friends!

In my last post I wrote about a science experiment I did with all three of my boys. Since then, I’ve been looking for other science experiments and STEM toys for my kids to do together. Then I was contacted by Jarrby toys, and asked to review one of their STEM toys. I took a look at the various toys they offer, and decided on one I thought my 2 younger ones would enjoy! But I never knew how well my preschool son would do with this building STEM toy!

My middle son was really excited when the Jarrby box arrived. He could hardly contain himself as I opened up the box.

Jarrby had sent us two sets of their Preschool Learning Toy. Each set came in a thick plastic bag plus their own storage bag! For all moms, a storage bag is a great plus!

As soon as I opened the box, ALL THREE of my boys got down on the floor and started building!

My oldest first built a ninja star, and them moved on to some of the suggested creations, like a horse.

My 2 year old worked on his hand strength by putting some of the pieces together. He didn’t really create anything, but had fun putting pieces together.

But my 4 year old…he really got into it! He didn’t even look at any of the suggestions, but instead got to building his own creations!

First he made the letter E.

Then the letter O.

I went to help his baby brother with something, and when I came back he had made these:

When I asked him what they were, he said with excitement “Beyblades!”. I was so proud of him!

Why was I so proud of him? You see, I had tried many times to get him to play with other building toys. Legos, Lincoln logs, and just plain blocks. But he had never caught onto any of them. But with the Jarrby STEM toy, on the other had, he naturally took to creating anything and everything that came to his mind! All the pieces worked perfectly with his little hands. No piece was too difficult for him to snap into place, or take apart.

I’m so glad we found out about Jarrby’s STEM toys! They are the perfect building toy for my preschooler!
